Digitally Manipulated Photos portfolioDigital manipulation can be performed on photos taken with a digital camera or by a film camera. Film based photographers used to manipulate their images in the darkroom, so this is not really a new process, but maybe a more simple one. Today most manipulation of photographs is done on the computer after the image has been scanned or uploaded direct from the camera. Digital manipulation software is use to change the original image data. The contrast and colours can be enhanced or the image can be fully altered so that the original can no longer be recognised. More than one image can be combined to produce a collage of images or to produce special effects.

Leaf Pictures portfolioLeaves and foliage can be as attractive and eye-catching as flowers and many plants are grown for their foliage or the autumn leaf colour. Some plant varieties have especially stunning autumn leaf colour and provide a beautiful display when these plants are grouped together. Autumn leaf colour can be impacted by many factors. Hot summers can stress trees and premature leaf fall will reduce the autumn display. Autumn leaf colour can be enhanced by cold and sunny days during the autumn period. The reds and purples that appear in autumn foliage is caused by glucose that becomes trapped when the photosynthesis process declines from lack of light. The change in the temperature and light levels cause the glucose to turn bright red, producing the colours that we love so much.
