    Flower Photo Prints


    The Photo Prints are produced using a photo printer which reproduce accurate and consistent colours and museum quality prints. The pigment inks resist fading for as long as 200 years under normal conditions*. Flower Photos are printed onto 250g Premium Lustre photo paper.

    The Flower Canvas Picture Images are printed onto high grade canvas, then professionally stretched over pine stretcher bar frame. The image is 'gallery wrapped' round the sides of the stretcher to the reverse of the frame - ready to hang. Canvas prints are of the highest quality, using 350gsm 100% cotton canvas and are hand stretched. The printing process is called deep-fibre printing**. Water-Based inks are used, and the canvas will even stand up to a standard cycle on a washing machine!* The frames are 1in deep and the timber used is laminated pine giving excellent strength and anti-warping properties. Wedges are used for lasting stretch. The pine timber comes from FSC sources. The bars are perfectly machined giving an excellent lipped profile to make your canvas become a perfect finished piece. The canvas has a nice natural feel, with a matt finish, and is supplied with all the bits and pieces needed to hang it on the wall.*

    Note - Part of the image you choose will be wrapped around the edge of the frame, so some of the picture may be lost.

    *It is recommended that all the Flower Prints are displayed out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources like radiators, and under glass (except canvas) for maximum longevity. The paper manufacturer claim that if these procedures are followed, your print should last for at least 75 years before any possible fading starts to take place

    **Dye-sublimation differs greatly from inkjet printing in many ways; most significantly in quality. Contrado Dye-sub is known for its high quality and continuous tone output. It does not have printing dots like that of inkjet printing; therefore, it provides a much higher photo image quality. Ink jet lays down a layer of wet ink that dries on the surface of the substrate. It hardens and forms a dry layer on top of the canvas. The ink jet layer can chip or crack and scuff. Dye sub print does not do this as the image is impregnated deep into the fibres of the material. The printing process has been tested by putting canvas prints through a washing machine. There was no difference in the print and the canvas can still be stretched to perfection afterwards. Tough durable and colourfast.*
    Dye-sublimation printing diffuses dye into the canvas. This dye comes in the form of a liquid ink which is diffused heat is applied, and is absorbed by a special receiving material which has particular properties - contrado photo-canvas. There is no smudging, running, or blotching.
